Green Bioactives, a world-leader in the discovery, development and sustainable production of high-value natural products using its proprietary plant cell culture technology, is pleased to announce the promotion of Andy Hall-Ponselè to Chief Scientific Officer.
In his new role, Andy, will oversee Green Bioactives’ research and development (R&D) team and he will be fundamental in spearheading the production of the company’s first generation of plant cell culture products.
Andy originally joined Green Bioactives in January 2023 as Head of Operations, when he brought with him a wealth of experience in biotechnology, commercialisation, and operations. Prior to joining Green Bioactives, Andy founded Biotangents Ltd, an agtech-oriented synthetic biology company, where he served as Director of Operations. Andy obtained a DPhil in Plant Biochemistry from the University of Oxford as a Wykeham Scholar focused on plant metabolic engineering and a BSc (Hons) in Biotechnology from University of Edinburgh. With his strong background in plant science and his experience building Biotangents, Andy brings both scientific expertise and operational know-how to Green Bioactives and his leadership will be instrumental in driving the company's innovation and growth.
