Edinburgh, Scotland – 5August 2024 -Green Bioactives (GBL), a pioneering world-class company in the discovery, development and sustainable production of high value plant-based products, is delighted to announce that it has been awarded a £100,000 Scottish Enterprise SMART grant.
This prestigious grant will fund a groundbreaking project aimed at producing a biomanufacturing platform for high-value molecules in the personal care industry. These molecules are essential components used in a wide range of personal care products, including skincare, haircare, and cosmetics. By utilising sustainable plant-based methods, GBL aims to revolutionise the personal care industry, providing manufacturers with sustainable and reliable alternatives to ingredients derived from traditional harvesting methods.
The grant builds on advice, investment and capital funding previously provided by Scottish Enterprise to GBL in support of the company’s scale-up ambitions.
