The Bioactive Chronicles: Episode 2

Discover 'The Tale of Protecting Memories with Nature's Gifts'

In this edition of The Bioactive Chronicles, we’re excited to introduce our latest story, "The Tale of Protecting Memories with Nature's Gifts." At Green Bioactives, we believe that science should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their background. That’s why we’ve chosen to use comics as a way to explain complex scientific concepts in a fun and engaging manner.

Comics allow us to tell stories that not only capture your imagination but also simplify the intricate details of our research and products. Through this creative medium, we can make the science behind our work more relatable and easier to understand, ensuring that everyone can appreciate the importance of our mission.

Our latest comic delves into the natural challenges of ageing, particularly focusing on memory decline—a concern for many as they grow older. The story introduces you to our innovative solution, GBL-Memory¹, a product born from the synergy of nature and science.

The Science Behind the Story

As our comic explains, MCI is a common condition among people over 60. It represents a stage where memory problems are more significant than normal age-related changes but not severe enough to interfere significantly with daily life. Despite its prevalence, there is currently no specific treatment designed to address MCI. This is a growing concern, especially as our global population ages at an unprecedented rate.

By 2020, the number of adults over 60 had already surpassed the number of children under 5. And by 2050, it’s expected that nearly a quarter of the world's population will be over 60. With such a demographic shift, finding ways to maintain cognitive health is more critical than ever.

Our comic explains how we developed GBL-Memory¹, the rigorous testing it underwent, and the promising results that show how it can help improve memory. We wanted to ensure that everyone could follow along, regardless of their familiarity with scientific terms.

The Ingredients Behind the Magic

The first key ingredient in GBL-Memory¹ is Fructooligosaccharides (or FOS, as we call it) from the Indian mulberry plant. FOS is known for its prebiotic properties, supporting gut health—a factor increasingly linked to brain function and memory.

The second ingredient is L-theanine, an amino acid extracted from green tea. L-theanine is celebrated for its ability to promote relaxation and enhance cognitive performance, including memory.

Our team hypothesised that combining FOS and L-theanine could create a powerful, natural solution for memory support. But we needed to test our theory to be sure.

Testing GBL-Memory¹: The Results

To put GBL-Memory¹ to the test, we conducted a 30-day study involving 120 participants. Sixty of these participants took GBL-Memory¹, while the other sixty received a placebo that looked identical but didn’t contain the active ingredients.

Before and after the 30-day period, all participants took a memory test. The results were exciting: those who took GBL-Memory¹ showed an improvement in total memory by up to 10.1%.

These findings were not only a milestone for our team but also a beacon of hope for those dealing with MCI. As one doctor remarked, "It offers people with MCI some hope of improving their memory." The news of our breakthrough quickly made its way into national newspapers, capturing the attention of both the medical community and the general public.

...to be continued

Stay tuned for more editions of The Bioactive Chronicles, where we’ll continue to explore how nature’s gifts can enhance our lives through innovative, science-backed solutions.
